    OVERVIEW:

    A highly successful plastic surgery practice in Savannah, GA seeks an individual to join us as our company visionary, business leader, and growth facilitator.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position will lead our practice vision, day-to-day operations, financial, personnel, compliance, and EMR/computer network oversight.

    You’ll be given the responsibility to advancethe practice mission, put us on a next-level growth trajectory, and assure a culture of excellence in daily practice operations.

    You will have the opportunity to work with four highly respected surgeons, multiple satellite locations, and oversee ~45 team members that includes surgical and non-surgical services, and state-of-the-art aesthetic services in our Skin Institute & Laser Center.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

    A business degree, financial acumen, proven growth-centered leadership, and prior plastic practice management experience is required. Administrator leadership experience in other practice specialties or progressive business environments will be considered. Additionally, you must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.

    This is a full-time position in a pleasant work environment with a six-digit base compensation depending on experience, incentive bonus, and benefits.     This position is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and administration of Ambulatory Services to include assigned practices in the outpatient center, East Campus and/or community practices (Internal Medicine, Urology, Surgery, Orthopedic, ENT/Oral, Sickle Cell, Adult Special Care, GI/ Endoscopy, Infusion, Health & Wellness and Primary Care etc.) to ensure that quality services are provided during the treatment, therapy and follow-up of patients..  Ensures compliance with all organization, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

    Education Requirement: 

    Master’s Degree required.

    Experience Requirement: 

    Seven years progressive healthcare/administrative leadership experience in ambulatory services.

    None

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    ·          Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment utilized in outpatient services.

    ·          Demonstrated organizational, management, planning and budgeting skills in dealing with people, problems, issues and information.

    ·          Demonstrated analytical skills necessary in order to solve technical, clinical, administrative, or managerial problems relative to complex plans, systems, and programs.

    ·          Demonstrated ability to manage multiple independent projects simultaneously.

    ·          Demonstrated communication skills necessary to interpret hospital policies in situations requiring persuasion, prepare and deliver presentations to hospital senior management, manage the performance of employees within a large or diverse department, or other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills.

    ·          Experience in a union environment desired.

    ·          Identify with, share in, and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the organization.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Leads the direction and management of BMG (Baptist Medical Group) compliance program and day-to-day operations, including implementing education and training, resources, as well as initiating compliance projects to insure organizational integrity. 
    • Works in coordination with BMG CEO, Baptist’s Chief Legal Officer, System Director, Physician Compliance, and other key stakeholders in order to coordinate physician compliance strategies in alignment with Baptist’s system initiatives. 
    • Promotes a culture of compliance throughout the BMG, serving as a compliance expert resource for physician practices.
    • Works in close collaboration with BMG CEO and/or Senior Leadership team and Baptist Chief Legal Officer and/or selected corporate leadership designee(s) by providing independent assessments of the BMG physician contractual arrangements/affiliations, comparing those to regulatory requirements, and implementing plans to address risk areas identified.
    • Manages maintenance processes for physician employment contracts to meet Stark requirements and internal requirements.
    • Provides insight into the BMG risk assessment plans, as applicable, regarding physician practices in order to audit and/or otherwise review those areas identified as risk areas.
    • Oversees the BMG physician practices to assess compliance with agreements, regulations, and government agencies to include but not limited to documentation of services provided and maintaining logs as required for administrative functions.
    • Increases communications with employed physicians groups to establish working relationships which encourage consistency with compliance practices and expectations for BMG physicians population throughout the Baptist system.
    • Leads discussions and develops projects to identify and mitigate compliance issues in practice areas.
    • Participates in BMG physician leadership meetings to promote compliance initiatives, updates, and education in order to  respond to concerns raised by employed physicians.
    • Participates in the development and deployment of policies and procedures related to physician compensation.
    • Oversees development of analytics and reporting processes for employed physician compensation.
    • Reviews employed physician compensation plan calculations, analytics and compliance.
    • Deploys BMG policies and procedures related to compliance and physician compensation.
    • Provides BMG fair market value oversight for new contract development with internal analysis and 3rd party experts as needed. 
    • Works with BMG senior leadership on the development of physician compensation models.
    • Consults with System Director, Physician Compliance and Corporate Legal, as appropriate and needed, to address and/or resolve complex physician and/or practice issues.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or directed. 

     Required experiences and skills

    ·         Master’s degree in healthcare administration, finance or management required.

    ·         7 years of experience in healthcare administration or finance. 3 years compliance experience. Group practice experience a plus. Strong healthcare financial management and analytical skills.

    ·         Knowledge of healthcare regulations and laws to include but not limited to Stark, Fraud and Abuse, Anti-kickback, and IRS.

    ·         Leadership skills and the ability to lead teams and/or projects across departments or entities.

    ·         Strong computer skill set with Microsoft Office programs, particularly with Excel and experience using reports from health care financial management or clinical systems and database management systems.

    ·         Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.

    ·         Ability to maintain cooperative work relationships with Baptist Senior Leadership, BMG physician leaders and constituents, and other key stakeholders to drive change.

    Job Summary:

    Exempt position responsible for all nursing staff, clinical nursing operations, and clinical education training of staff. May have administrative duties for risk management, utilization management, reimbursement, and oversite of all clinical patient care facilities within Baptist Medical Group.

    Primary Job Duties:

    1. Participate in senior management in all planning, budgeting, policy making, and decision making for clinical operations involving nursing staff.
    2. Ensures that nursing aspects related to risk management, reimbursement, financial management, and other administrative functions are incorporated into operational systems. Monitors outcomes, budget results, patient satisfaction surveys, quality metrics, and other indicators of nursing performance.
    3. Makes sure that performance and productivity of all nursing staff are evaluated on a regular basis throughout the year and annually. Advises on appropriate corrective actions and developmental opportunities.
    4. Maintains a high quality of care by nursing staff through continuous improvement standards and protocols. Ensures all staff are trained in quality assurance/control requirements and meet these standards.
    5. Stays current with state, federal, and payer regulations/requirement and updates professional standards for nursing for the medical practice appropriately.
    6. Evaluates and ensures that patient care standards today reflect process change and quality improvement.
    7. Serves as a liaison between clinical staff and senior leadership.
    8. Offers nursing expertise to outside organizations and companies.
    9. Implements clinical strategies for improved clinical patient outcomes.

    Education:

    BSN required, MSN preferred or Masters in business, health administration or other related field.

    Experience:

    Minimum 10 years of nursing experience with progressively increasing management and operations experience.

    Other Requirements:

    Current RN license and CPR certification
