And among the advanced economies of the world, the U.S. spends the most on healthcare – $2.9 trillion annually – but ranks lowest in terms of health outcomes. No one is satisfied with this equation. Presenter: 
Cindy Burns, RN, BSN, is the Area Healthcare Manager for Steelcase Health in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Ms. Burns assists hospitals and clinics to optimize their healthcare spaces, while being dedicated to improving healthcare quality and safety. 

She graduated from Baylor University Nursing School with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began her nursing career in the Thoracic Intensive Care. She used knowledge from the intensive care in her next position as a coordinator for organ recoveries for transplantation, where she worked with surgical teams from across the country. Working across the medical enterprise has informed her passion for healthcare spaces and how they affect those that interact within them.
